Creating a meeting point that explores hidden histories, preserves memory, and forms a personal space that allows the past once more to feel its way into the present or future.
Movement creates moments, moments draw emotions, emotions become duration. I work almost exclusively with wood and metal. I place metal next to wood, thread wood through metal, I balance metal with wood: a sibling relationship / existence.
In collaboration with these materials: exploring and demonstrating how they can be joined, how they can balance eachother. The weight of the process. How and where the materials - and we - meet - in time and space - is important.
Permanence and impermanence coexist: what lasts and what does not.
